Beko Washing Machine Leaking from the Dispenser Drawer
I recently attended a Beko washing machine in Markfield, Leicester where the customer had noticed water leaking from around the dispenser drawer during the wash.
With dispenser drawer leaks, the first thing I usually check is whether there is a build-up of detergent or fabric conditioner, as this can sometimes stop the water flowing through the drawer correctly and cause water to escape from the front.
In this case, the drawer was removed and checked, and the softener section was also tested. Everything appeared to be working correctly from the drawer itself.
After a closer inspection, I found a very small leak from the edge of the dispenser case inside the machine. The leak was not coming directly from the front of the drawer as it first appeared.
This meant the fault was internal, rather than simply being caused by a blocked or dirty dispenser drawer. On washing machines, water can sometimes track along internal parts before it becomes visible, which can make the source of the leak misleading.
Once the fault was identified, I ordered a replacement dispenser case and returned to fit the new part. After replacing it, the machine was tested again and the leak was fully resolved.
It is a good reminder that not every appliance leak is as straightforward as it first looks. Sometimes the visible water is only the symptom, and the real cause is hidden inside the machine.
If your washing machine is leaking from the dispenser drawer, it is always worth checking that the drawer is clean and free from detergent build-up. But if the leak continues, a proper inspection may be needed to find the cause safely.
